Weak snus: mild pouches with little nicotine

Weak snus refers to the varieties with the lowest nicotine content in our range – usually around 8–14 mg/g. This helps you find a mild can more quickly without having to click through every variety.

There are currently around 49 varieties here. Fewer mg does not mean “no effect” – it simply means there is less nicotine in the pouch you place under your lip. Below, we explain when weak snus makes sense and how to recognize a genuinely mild variety.

When weak snus is worthwhile

You want to reduce your intake – gradually moving away from stronger varieties.
You like to keep a pouch in for a long time – if a pouch stays under your lip for 30 to 60 minutes, every milligram counts.
You prefer subtle effects – a gentle effect in everyday life instead of a powerful kick.
You are sensitive – nausea or a racing heart are often signs of too much nicotine.

mg/g and mg per pouch – explained briefly

mg/g – nicotine per gram of content. Useful for comparison.
mg per pouch – the amount you actually place under your lip.

The format also matters: A Mini with the same mg/g contains fewer milligrams than a Slim because there is simply less content in the pouch. A good example is the VELO Mini Bright Spearmint in the small Mini format. For comparison, a Slim: edel MINT AW with 10 mg/g.

Too mild? How to move up gradually

Start with the format: Slim instead of Mini contains more product and therefore more mg.
Then choose a slightly higher mg/g value among the mild varieties.
Only after that is it worth moving on to strong snus (often 14–20 mg/g).

When does a stronger strain make sense?

If the effect remains too weak and you regularly use another pouch, compare the mg per pouch with strong varieties (approx. 14–20 mg/g)—one step is often enough. Don’t jump straight to extra-strong tobacco varieties. Use the filter and product page, not just the 1/5–3/5 scale.
