White Dry Portion: dry tobacco snus with long-lasting flavour

With White Dry Portion, the pouch and contents are dry—not just the outer material as with White Portion. The result: The pouch barely drips, starts gently, and lasts a long time. This type contains many of the strongest varieties available. We have around 46 White Dry varieties in stock in Switzerland.

White Dry is tobacco snus—not All White, which is tobacco-free. Because the entire pouch is dry, it sits very discreetly under the lip. If you want to compare the types, the Snusbuch can help: Snus varieties compared.

The strength is stated on every product page in mg/g and often in mg per pouch. Shipped from Switzerland, free from CHF 20. For sale to people aged 18 and over only. Nicotine is addictive.

Why dry often means strong

Because there is hardly any moisture in the pouch, White Dry releases its nicotine more slowly and over a longer period. This makes the type ideal for long sessions—and many manufacturers use it specifically for their extreme varieties for that reason. Siberia is the best-known example.

“Dry” does not automatically mean “extreme,” however: There are also moderate White Dry varieties. What matters is the mg/g listed on the individual can, not just the type name. If you prefer something moister with a faster release, choose White Portion or Original Portion.

White Dry or White Portion?

White Dry: pouch and contents are dry—slower start, very little drip, long-lasting flavor
White Portion: dry pouch, but moist tobacco inside—slightly faster start
White Dry tends to have higher mg/g values
Both are tobacco snus—only All White is tobacco-free

How to use White Dry Portion

Place the pouch under your upper lip; do not chew it. Because it is dry, it often takes a few minutes to start—give it that time before judging it. With very strong varieties, it is better to wear it for a shorter time.

If you feel unwell, remove the pouch immediately. How to insert it correctly is explained here: How to use snus correctly. Store the can in a cool place.

White Dry Portion Snus - Häufig gestellte Fragen (FAQ)

What is White Dry Portion Snus?

White Dry Portion (WDP) is tobacco-containing snus with dry pouches and dry contents. Type = White Dry Portion; format is often Large or Slim. Many people use WDP when they want less drip and a longer, even release.

What is the difference between White Dry Portion and White Portion?

White Portion is drier than Original Portion, but not as dry as White Dry. With WDP, the pouch and tobacco contents are intentionally drier—less moisture, less dripping, and often slower release. White Portion lies in between: a white pouch, but moister contents than WDP.

Why do many White Dry varieties have high mg/g values?

Dry tobacco is often dosed very heavily; well-known WDP varieties such as Siberia Red -80 Degrees, for example, contain 43.3 mg/g. A high mg/g value does not automatically mean that much per pouch—the pouch weight also matters. Extra-strong WDP varieties are intended for experienced users; always check the information on the product page.
